MicroBiz is looking for an Experienced WordPress Contract Developer (Yerevan)!
at MicroBiz in Yerevan
We are looking for an experienced WordPress developer to manage the upgrade and maintenance of our existing corporate WordPress website.
We have an existing WordPress site built with the Divi theme. The website also includes plugins for WooCommerce, Gravity lead forms, a blog, a business directory, a pricing comparison page, a glossary as well as several custom plug ins (free trial, serial number checker, etc).
We are looking for a developer to:
1) Upgrade the UI and flow of the site
2) Create a consistent style
3) Improve digital assets (pictures, videos, graphics, etc.)
4) Redesign certain page elements
5) Improve SEO
6) Modify the structure of certain pages
7) Improve overall speed and performance of the site
You can work either remotely on in our development office in Yerevan Armenia.
This role is an opportunity to use a wide variety of technical skills. Reliability and technical excellence are key attributes for this role, with the ideal candidate being an independent problem solver and critical thinker.
Duties and Responsibilities
Update full-feature WordPress site built using Divi theme
Maintain and develop new features
Maintain integrations with external APIs and plug-in modules.
Assist in defining requirements and implement new features and functionality
Write well designed, testable, efficient code
Work with Jira and GIT version control
Investigate, analyze, document and correct reported bugs
Collaborate across engineering and QA teams
Compose and maintain internal documentation in English
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of WordPress coding and development experience
Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS libraries
Highly organized personality with great attention to details
Excellent English communication skills via email, IM, conference calls, and in-person
Dependability and reliability
BA/BS Degree in computer science or related field
Compensation and Benefits
You would be retained as a contractor to work on this one-time project, expected to last 2- 4 months. Compensation will depend on experience and will be paid on an hourly basis. You will be paid via a direct account transfer from our Armenian bank account. You will not be eligible for employee benefits.
